INGREDIENTS

  • Lepo fish 3 to 5
  • Grated coconut
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 1/2 chopped tomato (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • tamarind ball
  • salt to taste
Method
  • Clean the Lepo, remove the skin, and cut the mouth,
  • Marinate Lepo with salt, turmeric powder, chili powder.
  • Grind  coconut,tamrind,chilli powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder into fine paste.
  • Heat pan on gas add gravy shimmer it adds onion, tomato  (optional), boil it again.
  • Add marinated Lepo to it. Boil till Lepo gets cooked.
  • Serve hot with rich.

Gosale is also known as ridge gourd, easily available in the market. this recipe is easy to cook with simple ingredients.

INGREDIENTS

  • Gosale (ridge gourd) 1-2
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 green chilies
  • Grated coconut
  • Salt to taste


Method
  1. wash the Gosale peel and cut it into pieces. chopped onion and cut green chilies into two pieces.
  2. in a pan add chopped gosale,onion, and put it on gas,do not add water since Gosale leaves water while cooking.
  3. Add grated coconut and salt after 10 min of cooking,mix well
  4. cover the lid and cook on low flame.
  5. Add water if required if it becomes dry.
  6. Serve hot with rice and curry.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2-3 Tomato chopped
  • 1onion chopped
  • 1tsp red chilli
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1tsp garam masala
  • 2 green chilli
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Pinch of Hing/Asafoetida
Method
  1. Heat a pan add oil when it becomes hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and hing.
  2. Let it splutter then add chopped garlic and onion fry till onion becomes golden brown. add green chilli.
  3. Add chopped tomato, mix well and cover the lid, cook for 5 min
  4. After 5 min adds masala, chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt to taste cook on medium flame.
  5. Mix well and cook for 5 min.
  6. Serve hot with pao or bread.

INGREDIENTS
  1. Toor dal 1/4 cup
  2. freshly grated coconut
  3. 1 tsp coriander powder
  4. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  5. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder(optional)
  6. 2 green chilli
  7. 1/2 tomato
  8. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  9. Pinch of asafoetida
  10. 1tsp ghee
  11. salt to taste
  12. Green coriander chopped
Method
  • Wash dal and pressure cook the dal with water, salt, cut tomato and chilli, remove 4 whistles, put off the gas.
  • Remove the lid after sometimes.
  • Grind coconut, turmeric powder, coriander powder and little cooked dal and make a paste.
  • Heat a Kadai add gravy, cooked dal and shimmer it, add 1/2tsp red chilli powder(optional), chopped green coriander in it.
  • For Tadka heat 1tsp ghee add cumin seeds, a pinch of asafoetida.
  • Add in Kadai which has dal shimmering.
  • Serve hot with rice.

Soya chunks are a good source of nutrients. it is also called veg meat. there are different recipes made from soya chunks, today we will cook the Goan masala soya chunk recipe.

Ingredients
  • 200 grams soy chunk
  • Coconut grated
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 tomato
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • 5 peppercorns
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • Curry leaves
  • 1-inch stick of cinnamon
  • A small ball of tamarind
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil.
Method
  • Soak the soya chunks for 1 hour
  • after soaking chunks for 1-hour drain excess water from it. marinate soya chunk with salt, turmeric powder, chili powder.do does not add water while marinating because soya chunk already has moisture in it.
  • Roast one onion till turns golden brown, add coconut, and all the above spice mentioned by adding little oil.
  • Or add 1 tsp chili powder,1/2turmeric powder,1 tsp coriander powder, and 1 tsp garam masala and roast with onion and coconut.
  • Grind all the roasted ingredients along with tamarind into a fine paste. 
  • In a pan add oil once heated add mustard seeds, curry leaves, cumin seeds let it splutter. Add gravy in it boil for 10 min
  • Add marinated soya chunks and salt to taste.
  • Add tomatoes in it, boil for another 5 min
  • Serve hot with rice, roti, or Goan pav.
Soya chunk which contains high protein and omega 3 fatty acids, it consists of 345 calories. soya chunks are also called as veg chicken.
soya chunk xacuti is the same as chicken xacuti taste is the same, instead of chicken we adding soya chunks.it's yummy and gets the satisfaction of eating chicken on the veg day.
other dishes of soya chunk are soya chilly or soya chunk masala dry. you can also make soya fry.

Ingredients in soya chunk Xacuti Recipe
  • For marination
  • 1 cup of soya chunk soaked
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp curd
Paste for marination
    • 1/2 bunch coriander
    • 5 green chilies
    Xacuti Masala paste
    • 1 tsp oil
    • 2 onion chopped
    • 2 green chili
    • 1-inch ginger
    • 5 garlic flakes
    • Coconut grated
    • 1/2 bunch green coriander
    Xacuti masala
    • 2-inch cinnamon
    • 3 cardamon
    • 1 tsp aniseeds
    • 1 tsp black peppercorn
    • 1 tsp poppy seeds
    • 1 tsp coriander seeds
    • 8 red chilies
    • 1 maize flour
    • 1-star anise
    • 1/4 piece nutmeg
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
    OR

    • Xacuti masala/chicken masala 1 tsp
    • Garam masala 1 tsp
    How to Make Chicken Xacuti

    To begin making the Soya chunk Xacuti recipe,
    1.  Soak the chunk for half an hour, drain the excess of water before marinating. Marinate the soya chunk with salt and ginger garlic paste, curd, turmeric, and marinated paste keep aside.
    2. Heat 1/2 teaspoon of oil in a pan. Add chopped onions, garlic, and ginger and saute till onions turn translucent and lightly golden.
    3. Add grated coconut to the above onions and saute till coconut turns golden brown. Remove the mixture from the stove and set aside to cool.
    4. Into the same pan add Kashmiri red chilies, Cinnamon Cardamoms,  Aniseed, Black peppercorn, Poppyseed, Coriander seeds, Star anise, Maize flower, piece Nutmeg, Turmeric and roast them for about 3- 5 minutes on low flame, 
    5. Roast the spices until they release a nice aroma and just begin to turn brown.
    6.  Turn off the heat and set aside to cool.
    7. skip the roasting spices if you taking ready-made masala
    8. Grind the roasted spices or ready-made masala and onion-coconut mix and grind into a smooth paste by adding little water.
    9. Now heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Add the ground masala paste and cook for 5 minutes. Add marinated soya chunk pieces and cook with constant stirring.
    10. Remove from stove, garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
    11. Serve soya chunk Xacuti with rice or chappati.

    Mula is also known as radish. High on nutrients packed with vitamins and antioxidants, calcium, magnesium.most of the people don't like to eat a radish. but cooked with coconut and onion it tastes differs.

    Method
    1. wash and clean the leaves, white part of radish, cut leaves, grate the white part of radish.
    2. Heat a pan with oil, add cut onion fry till golden brown.
    3. Add radish, green chili soaked toor dal cover the lid, let it cooked
    4. when partially cooked add grated coconut and salt,
    5. cook on low medium flame till all radish get fully cooked.
