  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 tsp corn flour or rice flour
  • Oregano seasoning (to taste)
  • Oil for deep frying (approx. 1½ cups)
  • Optional: Chilli flakes for extra spice

🧑‍🍳 Method:

  • Wash and peel potatoes,
  • cut them into thin slices
  •  Wash these potato slices under cold tap water, so that the stickiness will go after cleaning them then wipe them with a dry kitchen cotton cloth.
  • Spread dried potatoes slices on a tray or plate for a few seconds, Heat oil on gas meanwhile transfer potatoes slices to a container and sprinkle salt, cumin powder, and black pepper powder and mix well,
  •  Add corn flour in it and mix well all the potato slices. Once the oil is heated slowly slide potatoes slices one by one into the oil,
  •  Deep fry until potatoes get cooked and become crispy. Remove them on oil removing paper(tissue paper) Sprinkle them with oregano seasoning (and chilly flakes) and toss them well.
  • Serve when it is hot with tomato ketchup.

💡 Tips:

  • For extra crispiness, soak potato slices in cold water for 15–30 minutes before drying.
  • Always dry the slices well before frying to avoid oil splatter and sogginess.
  • Double-fry technique (fry once lightly, rest, then fry again) gives extra crunch.
