🥬 Goan Mula Bhaji (Radish Stir-Fry)

📝 Ingredients

  • 1 bunch radish (with leaves)
  • ½ cup grated coconut
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 1–2 green chilies (slit or chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1–2 tsp oil
  • 2 tbsp soaked toor dal (optional, adds protein and texture)

🍳 Method

Prep the Vegetables

  • Wash and clean the radish bunch thoroughly.
  • Chop the green leaves finely and grate the white radish root.
  • If using toor dal, soak it for at least 30 minutes beforehand.

Sauté the Base
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.

Cook the Radish
  • Add the chopped radish leaves, grated radish, green chilies, and soaked toor dal.
  • Cover the pan and cook on medium flame until the radish softens.

Add Coconut and Seasoning
  • Once the radish is partially cooked, add grated coconut and salt.
  • Mix well, cover again, and cook on low flame until everything is well combined and the radish is fully cooked.
