✨ Ingredients:

  • ½ kg carrots (gajar)
  • 2 tsp ghee (clarified butter)
  • ½ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups milk
  • Dry fruits (cashews, almonds) – chopped


🧑‍🍳 Method:

  1. Prep the Carrots:
  2. Wash and peel the carrots.
  3. Grate them using a food processor or hand grater.

  1. Cook the Carrots:

    Heat ghee in a thick-bottomed pan or kadhai.
  2. Add the grated carrots and sauté on medium flame.
  3. Cook until the moisture evaporates and the carrots turn golden.

  1. Add Milk:

    Pour in the milk and cook the mixture, stirring occasionally.
  2. Let it simmer until the milk is fully absorbed.

  1. Sweeten It:

    Add sugar and mix well.
  2. Continue cooking while stirring, allowing the mixture to thicken and release a rich aroma.

  1. Garnish:

    Stir in the chopped dry fruits.
  2. Once the halwa becomes glossy and thick, turn off the heat.

  • Serve hot for best flavor.
  • Optionally top with more ghee or dry fruits for extra richness.

  • For richer flavor, use full-fat milk.
  • You can add a pinch of cardamom powder or a few saffron strands for an aromatic twist.
