🍤 Goan Dry Prawn Sukka
A quick and flavorful coastal dish made with dry prawns, coconut, and spices. This easy-to-cook sukka is packed with Goan flavors and goes perfectly with rice-curry or chapati.

🧂 Ingredients
- 1 cup dry prawns
- 1 cup freshly grated coconut
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 1 green chili (slit)
- 1 tomato (optional, chopped)
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 Maggi masala cube
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp oil
- Fresh coriander leaves (chopped)
🔪 Method
Prep the Prawns:
Soak the dry prawns in water for about 10–15 minutes. Drain and keep aside.
Prepare the Base:
Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions, green chili, and tomato (if using). Sauté until soft.
Cook the Sukka:
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and crumble in the Maggi cube.
Add the soaked prawns, grated coconut, and salt. Mix well.
Simmer:
Add a splash of water if needed. Cook on low flame until the mixture is dry and the prawns are tender, stirring occasionally.
Garnish:
Add fresh chopped coriander and stir well.
🍴 Serving Suggestion
Serve hot with rice and Goan curry or enjoy with chapati or bhakri for a hearty meal.
