  • 500 g chicken, cut into medium pieces

  • 1-inch ginger

  • 6 garlic cloves

  • 1 bunch fresh green coriander

🍳 Method

1. Marinate the Chicken

  • Wash and clean the chicken pieces.

  • Apply salt and ginger-garlic paste.

  • Set aside for 10–15 minutes.

  • In a grinder, blend coriander leaves, ginger, garlic, onion, green chilies, tamarind, and cashews (if using) into a smooth paste.

3. Cook the Masala

  • Heat a pan and add the green masala paste.

  • Cook on medium flame until it begins to thicken.

  • Add turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.

4. Add Chicken

  • Add the marinated chicken pieces.

  • Mix well so the chicken is coated with masala.

  • Cover and cook until chicken is tender and fully cooked.

  • Cook uncovered to reduce moisture if you prefer a dry version.

5. Serve

  • Serve hot as an appetizer or with roti and steamed rice.

🍽️ Serving Suggestion

Pairs beautifully with chapati, pav, or simple steamed rice.

🌿 Pro Tip

Adjust green chilies according to your spice tolerance. Adding cashews gives a slightly richer and smoother texture.
