🥘 Ingredients
- 1 small breadfruit (neerpanas)
- 2 teaspoons red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Rava (semolina) for coating
- Oil for shallow frying
👩🍳 Method
- Prepare the breadfruit: Peel and cut the breadfruit into medium-sized slices (like wedges or chips).
- Marinate: In a bowl, mix chili powder, turmeric, and salt. Apply this spice mix to the breadfruit slices and let them marinate for 10–15 minutes.
- Coat with rava: Take rava in a plate. Coat both sides of each marinated breadfruit slice evenly.
- Shallow fry: Heat oil in a flat pan or tawa. Place the rava-coated breadfruit slices and fry on medium heat until golden and crispy on both sides.
- Serve: Serve hot as a side dish with Goan rice and curry.
🔥 Tip
For extra crispiness, use coarse rava and press lightly while coating
