Rava Bhakari Recipe | Goan Semolina Flatbread (No Fermentation)

“Rava Bhakari is a rustic and hearty Goan flatbread made with semolina, coconut, and simple spices. It’s often made when there's no time to ferment dough — soft inside, crisp on the edges, and perfect with green chutney or bhaji.”

Ingredients:

  1. rava  (salmonella) 1cup
  2. Green chilies chopped 
  3. salt to taste
  4. jaggery grated 
  5. grated coconut
  6. 2 tsp pure ghee
  7. Water as required

🧑‍🍳 Method:

  1. In a bowl or utensil, add the rava, salt, chopped green chilies, grated coconut, jaggery, and enough water to form a thick batter. Mix well.
  2. Heat ghee in a kadhai or non-stick pan.
  3. Pour the mixture into the pan and spread it evenly like a pancake or thick dosa.
  4. Cook on medium heat for 3–5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or your favorite chutney.
